Important Notes - General Instructions

Information literacy (ICT literacy), a key objective of a modern Computer Science Curriculum, is a term that describes students' ability to use modern digital technologies, communication tools, and network services to access, manage, integrate, evaluate, creation and communication of information, with the aim of solving problems and, ultimately, their participation in the modern knowledge society.

Student development consists of four dimensions (components) according to the proposed instructions:

Technological: Includes technical knowledge for basic IT concepts (eg hardware, software, networks, digital technology components) and skills to use basic ICT environments. (word processing, spreadsheets, presentation software, Internet services, etc.).

Cognitive: Describes the basic skills of using ICT as tools for research, creation, communication and learning in all the courses of the Curriculum and the daily school life of students.

Problem solving: It concerns the application and completion of the technical and cognitive skills of computer literacy with the aim of problem solving and the development of computational thinking.

Social skills: Students as digital natives should also develop those social attitudes and skills that shape contemporary digital culture and e-citizenship identity.
